The text in Dagens Nyheter swedish juridical system and Assange has gotten some international attention, like this in London Review of Books. Their tweet for the article says:
Assange’s criticisms of Swedish legal system not wrong, say Swedish lawyers http://bit.ly/kUe75V #wikileaks
Well what LRB miss is the word “part”. As in “part of Assange’s criticism not wrong”. A quick translation of parts of the original swedish text.
“He [Assange] is partially right about the Swedish legal system, and that should improve”.
“At first we want to make clear that we believe that his [assange's] criticism all in all is unsound, Sweden has a well functioning juridicial system and in many aspects a model internationally”
“Its also possible that Assange, fullfil all the criteria for a true «rättshaverist»” (rättshaverist is a swedish word for a person who obsessively feels wronged, particularly about minor causes of action.)
LRB writes:
Yesterday’s Dagens Nyheter carried an article by two leading Swedish lawyers on the Assange extradition case.
The authors (Jens Lapidus and Johan Åkermark) are rightly famous, but a relevant detail is that they also work in the same firm as Assanges lawyer Björn Hurtig. (see http://forsvarsadvokaterna.se/Jurister.htm )
